Landen Zakalowski 12th in Mark Batten Memorial at Virginia Motor Speedway

Returning to the racetrack after nearly a month off, Landen Zakalowski followed the Steel Block Bandits to Dixieland Speedway (Elizabeth City, N.C.) for the first night of a doubleheader weekend.

WIth 22 Late Models checked in, Zakalowski started 21st in the $4,000-to-win feature and made up six spots to finish 15th.

With the field elevated to 26 entries on Saturday at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.), Landen finished sixth in his heat race and made up three spots in the $10,000-to-win main event to record a 12th-place finish.
